KURKLAND RICHARDSON’S 2012 CAMARO

posted in: AIRLIFT | 1

“Since I was about seven years old, I was always seeing low cars and I said, ‘I want to lower my own.’”

Kurkland Richardson got his chance when he got his 2012 Camaro and set out to make it his own.

“I got the Camaro for a really good deal. I’d never seen one lowered, and I wanted to lower it,” Kurk explains, and goes on, “…not like, to change the game or anything. I just wanted to.”

“I started off with springs, and it was just too high. Then, I wanted to change the springs to make it lower, but they couldn’t do it. I was beyond new with air suspension,” Kurk confessed, describing his decision to choose air suspension. “I never really paid attention, though. I’d never really heard of Air Lift Performance but I saw those eight [control system] presets and that’s what sold me.”

Kurk continues on to explain how the Air Lift Performance control systems were the real sell for him. The display was a big part of it.

“If it [the controller display] doesn’t show me what’s going on, I feel like it’s not safe.” The Air Lift Performance display features all the information Kurk hoped for in order to ride with real peace of mind.

“You have to get the whole Air Lift V2, all that. If you’re getting Air Lift Performance struts, you gotta get the management too.”

It’s not only about the control system, though.

“The thing that’s amazed me with the struts was the stiffness…like real racing struts,” Kurk describes, “It’s such a smooth ride, it actually feels like you’re on air. No bounce at all. I ride it lowered, and it rides better.”

Kurk has done shows like Nurotag, Wekfest, and Simply Clean. When discussing shows, however, he is quick to add that the car scene isn’t about impressing anyone, but simply about the love he has for cars.

“It’s my personal thing,” he says resolutely, “and I respect every other ride.”

ACCUAIR – ILEVEL RELEASED

posted in: ACCUAIR | 1

It is with great fervor that AccuAir is proud to announce that iLevel is live in the Apple App Store and the iLevel Modules are now officially shipping.  The following is a behind the scenes look of exactly what’s involved with the iLevel Module.

First, we start off with the circuit board, or the “brains” of the iLevel Module.  Not only does this circuit board process the standard functions associated with our e-Level Touchpad, but it also emits a dedicated and password protected WiFi signal up to 100 feet.

The iLevel circuit board is then wired and harnessed with connectors to seamlessly integrate between the e-Level ECU and e-Level Touchpad and/or Rocker Switch.

Once harnessed, the iLevel Module receives its own enclosure that is 100% weather sealed, ensuring protection from the elements when mounted under a vehicle. This is accomplished through a rubber seal resting between the top and bottom of the enclosure as well as strain-relief for the rubber pass-throughs.

The iLevel Module is then completed with the top of its enclosure, distinctly labeled with the iLevel logo for both appeal and clarity.

As with any AccuAir product, each iLevel Module is thoroughly tested for 100% functionality before it’s given confirmation of quality assurance prior to shipment.

Once our Quality Control Manager has given his approval, the iLevel Module is neatly packaged and labeled to await it’s permanent home within your e-Level Management System.  Once the iLevel Module is installed, you simply download the AccuAir iLevel app for free in the Apple App Store and wireless control of your e-Level Management is yours to enjoy.

ACCUAIR – NEW HEIGHT SENSOR

posted in: ACCUAIR | 1

Something that we have only briefly discussed is the development of our new height sensor. It was built to increase accuracy and ease the installation process. Nine months of research and testing went into this latest iteration, bettering the e-Level Management System in every way.

These improvements include:

  • 4 different mounting points on the arm for target suspension travels of 4″, 3″, 2″, 1″.
  • Removable setup guide keeps the sensor within range during setup (100 degrees). Once the setup guide is removed there is an additional 10 degrees of electrical travel on each side and no mechanical stops to break.
  • The arm can be removed and re-clocked in 4 quadrants to re-orient the connector location in tight spaces.
  • Improved linkage design (these plastic heim-joints have zero slack). This will bring a further accuracy improvement.
  • Back and Face Mountable (Nice for through mounting applications).

This is yet another example of our commitment to never stop improving in our pursuit of excellence. Expect even more product developments to be announced in the beginning half of 2013!
